This is the private option closest to Borjomi itself. Your car collects you in Borjomi and takes you to Rabati Castle, Khertvisi Fortress and Vardzia, with an audio guide included. Admission and meals are extra. Vardzia charges 15 GEL for adults, and it is open daily, from 10:00 to 19:00 between 1 May and 1 October. A statement from 11 September 2026 said the Secret Tunnel area was closed after rockfall, so expect a shortened route there.
The price is 150 USD for up to four people. Two people pay 75 USD each, three pay 50 USD each and four pay 37.50 USD each. That is close to the 36 USD shared day trip from Tbilisi, yet you start two hours closer. It suits couples, a family of four or friends sharing a stay in Borjomi.
A riding day in the national park
The horse-riding trip starts with hotel pickup in Tbilisi and a private car to Borjomi National Park. You ride with an instructor, and helmets are included. Food and drinks are extra.
